Amazing Grace

Amazing grace, my grand mother use to sing that song to me. I especially enjoyed the part that goes “I was once lost, but now I’m found.”

I’ll tell you why..

Our family use to attend church every Sunday without fail. We’re a proud Christian family and Sunday was our day to sing the songs of the gospel and pay praise to God.

I use to get up on stage and clap my hands to the beat of the tune. It was a really fun time to be a child and still to this day I look back fondly on it. My family, my friends and God; we would sing in one unified voice.

But then I became lost.

My father bought me a computer and I spent much of my time playing car games, motorbike games and flash games on it all day.

I found some really great websites that let you play those kinds of games for free. That’s one of the advantages of the Internet.

Another great feature of the Internet is the ability to purchase music. I was on iTunes and I bought a copy of “Amazing Grace” and I became found again.

It really brought tears to my heart to hear that beautiful song playing on my computer and I instantly felt reconnected with God.

I made it a point to attend church the next Sunday and I put in a special request to my pastor that we all sing Amazing Grace as I needed the support of everyone to renew my faith.

I definitely felt God was showering me with his love and I learned to balance playing my favorite car games with church.
